Rematch doesn’t go PA’s way

For the fourth time in as many years, Pillow Academy finished short of the state title game.

The game was tied at 7 in the first quarter before the wheels completely fell off in the second. The Patriots outscored PA 26-0 in the second and then rolled to a 47-14 win Friday night in Columbus in the MAIS Class 5A state semifinals.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
