JACKSON — Mississippians trust the care of precious loved ones to many wonderful nursing homes and other long-term care facilities. But the COVID-19 pandemic has raised concerns.
While 13% of the state’s virus cases have occurred in long-term care facilities, they have had 50% of deaths. (The national average is about 33%.)
