JACKSON — Thirty-one years ago in November, an overwhelming 70% of voters approved a ballot initiative process for Mississippi. Two years ago, the Mississippi Supreme Court threw out the process over a wording snafu. Despite state leaders’ calls for the process to be reinstated, that has not happened.
