Bulldogs look to regroup after shuout at ’Bama

The road was not kind to Mississippi State over the weekend.

The Bulldogs (6-4, 2-4 SEC) were shut out 24-0 at top-ranked Alabama.

Alabama’s offense didn’t put up the video game-like numbers that had seemingly become commonplace. The defense played so well, again, that it didn’t matter.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
