NATCHEZ — The Gallagher gals cruised in the first round of the Mississippi Women’s Golf Association State Amateur Championship.
Defending champion Kathleen Gallagher, 17, was 5-under-par through 12 holes when she won 8 and 6 in the match play format over Carolyn Barker at Beau Pre’ Country Club on Tuesday.
