Greenwood records 10th straight win in crosstown rivalry

Amanda Elzy put up some resistance — much more than in recent years — but Greenwood was just too strong in the end.

The Bulldogs defeated the Panthers 41-20 Friday night at GHS to claim its 10th straight victory in the series that first started in 1987. The Dogs lead the series 27-6.

PA Enjoying Upper Hand In Rivalry

Tripp McCarty finally snapped a five-game losing skid to archrival Washington School, and Pillow Academy has held the upper hand in PA’s longest, bitterest rivalry since 2016.

It’s one of the top rivalries in the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools, according to McCarty.
