Delta Employment Network Services already provides education, training and transportation related to job placement for about 240,000 Mississippians in other counties who rely on Social Security benefits.

First days of integration tense for black students

Man accused of selling tobacco to youths

A home-based racket that supplied middle-schoolers with cigarettes and cigars went up in smoke when Greenwood police arrested the alleged source.

Benjamin F. Kindle, 66, of 704 Mississippi Ave. is suspected of selling tobacco products out of his house to Greenwood Middle School students before and after school, Sgt. Lee Taylor said.
