JACKSON - A trial judge will determine whether condemned murderer Howard Dean Goodin is mentally retarded and should not be executed, according to a Mississippi Supreme Court order.
In 2001, the Supreme Court upheld Goodin's death sentence for the 1998 armed robbery and murder of store owner Willis Rigdon in Union.
