JACKSON — A businessman who heads Mississippi’s economic development agency has sued the secretary of state’s office to try to stop a statewide vote on eminent domain.
“This initiative will hurt opportunities for thousands of Mississippians for better jobs and for better lives,” Leland Speed said in a statement Friday.
