Dr. Mabel M. Murphree of Tupelo, a Republican candidate for Northern District Public Service Commissioner, made a swing through Leflore County on Monday to announce her candidacy for the office. The incumbent commissioner for the district, Democrat Bo Robinson, is not seeking re-election.
