Literacy was the watchword Monday as American Legion Post 200 hosted acclaimed author Samuel Earl Wilson III and provided a glimpse into the post's role in history.
The post - known as Thompson-Clemons Post 200 - has the distinction of being the first African-American chartered Legion post in Mississippi.
