JACKSON - The 2005 Legislature dealt two blows to proponents of freedom of information laws, says a Jackson attorney who specializes in media cases.
One was the death of a bill that would've given the public more access to incident or initial reports from law enforcement agencies, said Leonard Van Slyke.
