Valley baseball travels to UAPB for weekend series

The Mississippi Valley State baseball team, riding high after pulling off a 9-7 win over the University of New Orleans Wednesday, begins Southwestern Athletic Conference play Friday at 3 p.m. at Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The basketball season came to an end for the Mississippi Valley State women as they dropped an 81-74 decision to Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the second round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday night at The Gateway Center in College Park, Georgia.

Mustangs rally past Cougars, 7-4

Pillow Academy scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning and survived a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the inning to pick up a 7-4 win over Central Hinds Academy Tuesday at the Battle at the Beach spring break tournament in a game played at Gulfport High School.
