Pillow Academy will be represented by four players at the MAIS all-star and futures games Thursday and Friday. The Futures game will start at 5 p.m. Thursday at Madison-Ridgeland Academy. The 3A/4A all-star games will be played at 4 and 5:30 p.m. Friday at Jackson Prep. Representing Pillow are, from left, JonHartley Slater, Izzy Hodges, Trace Harrell and Madeline Carroll. Slater and Carroll are playing in the Futures game, and Hodges and Harrell will participate in the all-star games.

Carroll Academy's Carlie Hoover was chosen to play in the Class A/AA all-star game at 1 p.m. Friday at Jackson Prep.

Carroll Academy's Reed Thomas was chosen to play in the Class A/AA all-star game at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Jackson Prep.

Delta Streets' Lance Link was chosen to play in the Class A/AA all-star game at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Jackson Prep.

Delta Streets' Ja'Den Purnell was selected to play in the Futures game Thursday at Madison-Ridgeland Academy.

Carroll Academy's Tommy Acy will coach in the Class A/AA all-star girls game Friday at Jackson Prep.

Leflore County Tigers rally to defeat Leake County, advance to Big House

The Leflore County High School boys basketball team survived its quarterfinal matchup with Leake County High School, as the Tigers pulled off a 45-43, come-from-behind win over the Gators at Raymond High School Wednesday in the Class 1A State Tournament.
