Delta Devils drop SWAC opener to Tigers

Victory slipped through their hands Saturday as the Mississippi Valley State football team dropped a 23-20 decision to visiting Texas Southern University at Rice-Totten Stadium.
The Delta Devils fall to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Texas Southern moves to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in league play.

Elzy volleyball goes 2-0 to move to 11-3

Amanda Elzy went 2-0 in prep volleyball action last week to improve to 11-3 overall and 3-2 in Region 3-3A.
The Lady Panthers knocked off Humphreys County 3-0 in a match Thursday at Elzy’s gym. The Lady Panthers won the sets 25-17, 25-19 and 25-17.
