The J.Z. George boys started Region 4-2A play with a 67-48 win over Eupora High School last Friday night at Eupora.
The Jaguars, who are 3-13 overall and snapped an 11-game losing skid, raced out to a 16-6 lead after the first period.
The Eagles came back with a 15-7 run in the second to only trail 23-21 at the half.
J.Z. George bounced back in the third quarter, outscoring the Eagles 21-12 to take a 44-33 lead headed into the final frame.
D’Anthony McGlothan led the Jags with 21 points and eight rebounds, and Alex Criss had 16 points.
Da’Ravion Seals tacked on 12 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
J.Z. George hosts Calhoun City Tuesday.
