Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District: Chronic absentee rate: 26.1%

Almost 1,000 students in the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District missed school for excused and unexcused reasons during the 2024-25 school year, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.
The MDE tracks chronic absenteeism in every public school in the state and recently released its figures for last year.
