Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. All local, state and federal applicable laws and regulations shall govern submittal, opening, and award of bids. Project Identification: Delta Health Alliance Sunflower County Childcare Coalition, an Early Head Start Child Care Partnership, Childcare Repairs and Office Improvements Bid Package #3. Project Description: Repairs to two (2) existing childcare facilities, including selective demolition, selective interior repairs, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: Bid Date: Thurs- day, June 8, 2017. Bid Time: 2:00 P.M, local time. Location: Delta Health Alliance Indianola Promise Community Project Offices, 135 Front Avenue, Indianola, MS 38751. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Delta Health Alliance Indianola Promise Communi- ty Project Offices, 135 Front Avenue, Indianola, MS 38751, Thursday, May 25 @ 9:00 A.M. All sites will be available for inspection at that time. The Work is to be completedwithin the Contract Time of 60 calendar days. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
Contractors participating in this project shall give opportunities for employment to lower income residents of the project area. The Owner is also an equal opportunity employer and hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that equal opportunity will be given in bid submittal and contract award. Women-owned and Minority-owned businesses are encouraged to bid. Bid shall be dependent upon funding availability and all work is subject to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Headstart Program Performance Standards, 45 CFR Chapter XIII. Contractor and subcontractors working on premises shall provide certification for all personnel working on premises to include state or national background check, and all personnel working on premises will submit a declaration listing all prior criminal arrests and charges related to child abuse and their disposition, as well as convictions related to other forms of child abuse and neglect and all convictions of violent felonies. Delta Health Alliance Sunflower County Childcare Coalition, an Early Head Start Child Care Partnership, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein.
