Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Greenwood did on August 20, 2019 amend the City’s budget for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2019. Said amendment exceeded the ten (10%) of the total amount authorized to be expended when the original budget was adopted and is published pursuant to Section 21-35-25.

Upon consideration of this budget amendment by the City Council, motion was made by Councilperson Charles McCoy Sr., seconded by Councilperson Carl Palmer, and upon a vote being called received the following vote: Johnny Jennings yea, Lisa Cookston absent, Ronnie Stevenson yea, Charles E. McCoy, Sr. yea, Andrew Powell yea, David Jordan yea, Carl Palmer yea. The President of the Council then declared the motion passed and adopted this the 20th day of August 2019.

Following review of the FY 2017-2018 Audit Report, and on motion by Councilman Charles E. McCoy, Sr., seconded by Councilman Carl Palmer, with all members present voting YEA, Council voted to receive the report on behalf of the City.
Approved this the 20th day of August, 2019, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Greenwood, Mississippi.

Notice is hereby given that on the 20th day of August, 2019, Cooperative Energy filed with the Mississippi Public Service Commission the above referenced matter.
Any person desiring to participate in or receive further notice of these proceedings is required under RP 6.121 of the Commission’s Public Utility Rules of Practice and Procedure to file a written petition to intervene on or before twenty (20) days from publication of this notice.
This cause is returnable to the regular meeting of the Commission to be held at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at the Mississippi Public Service Commission Hearing Room, 1st Floor, Woolfolk State Office Building, Jackson, Mississippi. If a hearing is required, the Commission, by subsequent order, will set a time and place for said hearing. This cause is subject to being set for disposition on a hearing date not less than twenty (20) days from the date of publication of this Notice. If protest, answer or other appropriate pleading is on file in response to this matter, the Commission will consider same on said hearing date.
