You have been made a Respondent in the suit filed in this Court by Ruby Givens, Petitioner, seeking a determination that Ruby Givens and Sharon Perkins are Wrongful Death Beneficiaries of Willie Givens, deceased. Respondents other than you in this action are none.

PUBLIC NOTICE
OF INVITATION FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District that sealed bids will be received by said Board until 3:00 O'clock P. M. on January 13, 2026 in the Office of the Superintendent of Education of the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District, at 1901 Hwy 82 W., Greenwood, Mississippi, 38930 for agricultural lease on the following described Sixteenth Section Public School Trust Land situated in Leflore County, Mississippi, to-wit:
Section 16, Township 20 North, Range 1West, 590 acres ± for agricultural purposes in 16th
Section Township 20 North, Range 1 West, Leflore County, Mississippi
The lease shall be for a term of five (5) years. The form of the lease has been prescribed by the Board of Education and is now on file in the Office of the Superintendent of Education, and interested parties may inspect the same during regular office hours.
Bid proposal forms may be obtained from the Office of the Superintendent of Education. Bids shall be submitted for the entire parcel and must include 10% of the amount of the bid for that parcel when submitted. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Board of Education of Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope "BID FOR AGRICULTURAL LEASE" with the approximate acreage listed for section the bid is for.
The Board of Education of Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District will meet at the Office of the Superintendent in Greenwood, Mississippi, on the 13th day of January 2026, at 5:00 O'clock P. M. and sealed bids received pursuant to this public notice will then and there be opened and read aloud. All bidders are advised that an auction may be held among those who submitted sealed bids. The auction may be held at the meeting at which the sealed bids are opened or at a subsequent regular or special meeting. Notice of the time and the place of the auction will be announced at the meeting at which sealed bids were opened. All bidders are advised to be present at the opening of the sealed bids, either in person or through a duly authorized representative, to protect their rights to participate in an auction. Any bidder who is not present or represented at the meeting at which the bids are opened may lose the opportunity to participate in an auction.
The Board of Education of Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION
City of Greenwood, Mississippi Vacancy in the Office of Council Member for Ward 6
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Greenwood, Mississippi, at their meeting held on January 6, 2026, adopted a resolution declaring a vacancy in the office of Council Member for Ward 6 due to the death of the Honorable Dorothy “Dot” Glenn.
Pursuant to Mississippi Code Annotated § 23-15-857, a special nonpartisan election has been called and ordered to fill the unexpired term of said office.
The special election will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in the City of Greenwood, Mississippi. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the regular polling places within Ward 6.
Qualification of Candidates: Any person desiring to become a candidate for this office must qualify as an independent candidate by filing a petition with the Municipal Clerk at Greenwood City Hall, 101 West Church Street, Greenwood, Mississippi 38930, no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 28, 2026.
The petition must be signed by:
• At least 50 qualified electors residing in Ward 6 (if the population of Ward 6 is 1,000 or more), or
• At least 15 qualified electors residing in Ward 6 (if the population is less than 1,000).
No qualifying fee is required. Candidates must meet all other qualifications for the office as provided by law, including being a qualified elector and resident of Ward 6.
Notice of Candidacy: The Municipal Clerk will certify the names of all qualified candidates. If no candidates qualify by the deadline, or if only one candidate qualifies, the governing authority may dispense with the election and fill the vacancy by appointment. If multiple candidates qualify, the election will proceed as scheduled.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE RURAL AREA PROGRAM
The Board of Directors of Central Mississippi, Inc. is considering applying to the Mississippi Department of Transportation, Public Transportation Division, for assistance through its Rural Area Program to provide public transportation services within Attala, Carroll, Grenada, Holmes, Leflore, Montgomery, and Yalobusha counties. Funding is available to state agencies, local public bodies and agencies thereof, non-profit organizations, operators of public transportation services in locations other than urbanized Area, and, under special circumstances, private operators of public transportation on a competitive basis to undertake eligible transportation activities.
The goals of the Rural Area Program are: to enhance the access of people in non-urbanized Area to health care, shopping, education, employment, public services and recreation; to assist in the maintenance, development, improvement, and use of public transportation systems in rural and small urban Area; to encourage and facilitate the most efficient use of all Federal funds used to provide passenger transportation in non-urbanized Area through the coordination of programs and services; and to provide for the participation of private transportation providers in non-urbanized transportation to the maximum extent feasible.
The purposes for which these funds can be used are capital purchases that include such items as support vehicles, communication equipment, wheelchair lifts, etc.; administrative costs that include such items as salaries, office supplies, insurance, etc.; and operating expenses that include such items as driver's wages, fuel, oil, etc. More specific details regarding eligible activities, program requirements and the program criteria will be provided at a public hearing which will be held at Central Mississippi, Inc. 108 S.
