Notice is hereby given that the Greenwood-Leflore Airport Board will receive sealed bids at the Airport Manager’s Office at the Greenwood-Leflore Airport, Greenwood, MS, until
10 AM on Friday, the 30th day of January, 2026 for the 297.1 acres, more or less of row crop land located at the Greenwood-Leflore Airport in Carroll County, Mississippi, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. This is a three (3) year lease covering the years 2026, 2027, and 2028. Rent shall be paid in advance, with the annual payments to be due upon acceptance of the bid by the Airport Board for the year 2026 and on January 15, 2027 and January 15, 2028.
Bids are to be filed on or before the date and time shown above in a sealed envelope, on the outside of which must be plainly marked, “SEALED BID” – LEASING AIRPORT AGRICULTRUAL LAND – OPEN – 10 AM, JANUARY 30TH, 2026.
The highest and best bid will be selected at the next meeting of the Greenwood-Leflore Airport Board. All interested bidders may examine and pick up a map of acreage to be leased, guidelines, and requirements, at the Greenwood-Leflore Airport Manager’s Office, via email office@kgwo.email or call 453-1526 for any information needed.
The contract leasing the above land shall be subject to all the terms and conditions contained in the grant of the said property to the City of Greenwood by the United States Government, among which is the right by the government to reclaim the said land at any time.

OF INVITATION FOR BIDS
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District that sealed bids will be received by said Board until 3:00 O'clock P. M. on January 7, 2026 in the Office of the Superintendent of Education of the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District, at 1901 Hwy 82 W., Greenwood, Mississippi, 38930 for agricultural lease on the following described Sixteenth Section Public School Trust Land situated in Leflore County, Mississippi, to-wit:
Section 16, Township 20 North, Range 1West, 590 acres ± for agricultural purposes in 16th
Section Township 20 North, Range 1 West, Leflore County, Mississippi
The lease shall be for a term of five (5) years. The form of the lease has been prescribed by the Board of Education and is now on file in the Office of the Superintendent of Education, and interested parties may inspect the same during regular office hours.
Bid proposal forms may be obtained from the Office of the Superintendent of Education. Bids shall be submitted for the entire parcel and must include 10% of the amount of the bid for that parcel when submitted. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes, addressed to the Board of Education of Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope "BID FOR AGRICULTURAL LEASE" with the approximate acreage listed for section the bid is for.
The Board of Education of Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District will meet at the Office of the Superintendent in Greenwood, Mississippi, on the 7th day of January 2026, at 5:00 O'clock P. M. and sealed bids received pursuant to this public notice will then and there be opened and read aloud. All bidders are advised that an auction may be held among those who submitted sealed bids. The auction may be held at the meeting at which the sealed bids are opened or at a subsequent regular or special meeting. Notice of the time and the place of the auction will be announced at the meeting at which sealed bids were opened. All bidders are advised to be present at the opening of the sealed bids, either in person or through a duly authorized representative, to protect their rights to participate in an auction. Any bidder who is not present or represented at the meeting at which the bids are opened may lose the opportunity to participate in an auction.
The Board of Education of Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted.
