Here’s a surprise: A Republican-led state legislature has approved a $15 minimum wage. It became the first state to do so, jumping ahead of four other states where Democrats have been working to increase pay to that level.
There are a couple of significant caveats, though, to the recent action by the North Carolina Legislature.
