Stacy Regular
Regarding Stacy Regular’s letters to the editor (“McAdams best choice for blacks and whites,” May 14; “Why are people offended by truth?” May 21):
Every time I go to Park Avenue, if I go down Grand Boulevard, I see the city workers mowing, weed-eating and picking up trash. I have yet to see that in South Greenwood anywhere, including Main Street.
I see all of the mayoral ads about what has been done to improve downtown. I would like to see one ad that shows some improvement on the south side.
As a matter of fact, tell me one downtown business owned by someone local that has any black employees.
Think about it. South Greenwood is falling down. All the progress in town is in North Greenwood.
Now, Stacy Regular, what have you as an individual done to help the black community in any way.

Stacy Regular is telling the truth, and some of you can’t stand it! It’s not a race thing, but we all know that many blacks around Greenwood don’t do anything but criticize each other and put down the next person.
Now if Sheriel Perkins would have done as much as Carolyn McAdams, then all of this wouldn’t be said about Stacy.
Grow up, people of Greenwood. If voting for Sheriel Perkins makes you feel that you are hurting Mr. Regular, once again you will be showing your childish acts.
May I suggest that whatever you want, God’s got it. Just wait and see.

Stop signs
Can the mayor please explain to me why two stop signs were just put up at the corner of Beech Street and East President Avenue? And the speed limit was lowered from 35 mph to 25 mph. Was this done legally?
Just Curious
Editor’s note: Mayor Carolyn McAdams said that the speed limit on all neighborhood streets is 25 miles an hour. The police have asked for the additional placement of signage to that effect, she said, “because some people are not aware of that policy. The stop sign has been there for three to four years.”
