I am so proud to say that I am a true blue Panther. Our guys played with all the fire and zeal that they could muster to take state.
Coaches Gerald Glass and Ted Barrett, we down here in Jacktown are proud to forever wave our blue-and-gold banners. We are the champions, and there is no one who can take that from us.
You guys deserve everything that's about to come your way. Just stay humble and hold on because the best is yet to come. Enjoy this moment, and now you know you can win those big games that really count.
To my nephew, Maurice Dunlap, I'm elated to see how you have grown up, and you are playing so well. I can't say enough about how happy I am and proud of you. You stepped up to help lead your team to this milestone victory that you will always be a part of.

Rush Limbaugh
Regarding the editorial “Is Rush really sorry?” (March 5):
Rush Limbaugh does cross the line sometimes, as he did in this case. Limbaugh's comments, though vulgar and insulting, are pretty much on the same level as the insults the liberals/Democrats/progressives have hurled at Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, the tea party, or anyone else who dares not to agree with them.
Of course, the left is not outraged whenever their own people resort to vulgar and tasteless insults.

Regarding the article “City improvements to start on Main” (March 5):
This is good news for Greenwood. This is a well- traveled area for all of us. It is also a major entrance to the city for visitors.
