Concerning the proposed Carroll/Montgomery County school consolidation (“Board says no to district merger bill,” March 1):
Man, it seems Carroll County School Superintendent Billy Joe Ferguson might be getting a little uptight about considering the school consolidation. He’s already shouting, “The Communists are coming! The Communists are coming!”
Maybe Mr. Ferguson should borrow Ken Strachan’s copy of Trent Lott’s new book on bipartisanship before he totally freaks out!
Besides, look at it this way: You never thought you’d ever agree with David Jordan on anything. Now you do.
If all else fails, Billy Joe, you can always jump off the Tallahatchie Bridge.
