Regarding Doggy 1’s criticism of Mayor Carolyn McAdams in “My Two Cents” (April 1):
Carolyn has done something for all parts of Greenwood. Open your eyes and see what this city looks like (everywhere) compared to before she took office. She has balanced the budget each year and done something for every citizen of Greenwood.
I have never seen or heard Carolyn make a derogatory comment about anyone based on race, religion or anything else.
Wake up. She cares about all of Greenwood, not just a few.

Griggs’ column
Regarding Larry Griggs’ guest column in Sunday’s Commonwealth (“We are called to do more”):
I think a man’s or woman’s actions dictate who they are. It’s not what you say. It’s the way you act and treat others.
When you look at the actions of some over the years, you know what they are about, so the flowery words don’t mean a thing.
