Thanks Johnny Langdon Sr. for having the guts to speak on what a lot of these cowards in Greenwood are afraid to say. The beef with the mayor started before she was elected to office.
As far as the article “Ministers say Langdon acted inappropriately” (Jan. 27), where were all the ministers when the tragedy of the hanging took place in North Greenwood and the shooting at the Abraham office. Oh, so those are not considered embarrassments to the city in the outside world? Have the ministers worked with Mayor Carolyn McAdams? Why voice your opinion now?

Johnny Langdon Sr. was slightly mistaken when he called the mayor the devil. She is not the devil. She is simply a demon who does the devil’s bidding.
When you accept gifts from the devil, you have to dance by his music. He pulls your strings.

I’d suggest that the Commonwealth unsubscribe to the syndicates that provide the cartoons and comic strips for the paper.
Added coverage of City Council, Board of Supervisors’ meetings and all of their antics would be a lot cheaper and vastly more amusing.

Maybe Johnny Langdon Sr. had his reason to say what he did.
Yeah, it was a long time coming, but I am sure that the man wouldn’t lie on TV about what Mayor Carolyn McAdams asked of him. And he sure has the right to speak his mind.
As far as the department-issued handgun that was sold to Langdon for a dollar, that was the very least that the City Council could do for him. I am sure that it was no big deal.
