Steve LaVere
Thank you, Jess Pinkston, for the guest column (“Steve LaVere was a rarity,” Feb. 4).
Steve LaVere was a very talented man and a true asset for Greenwood. He was a leader who celebrated the music and talent of the Delta like no one else. I totally enjoyed the time I spent listening to the musicians at the Blue Parrot — not to overlook the delicious food prepared by his lovely wife!
Thank you for honoring him. Greenwood is a poorer place without Steve.

Bill Henderson
Regarding the article on Bill Henderson (“Taking flight: Cotton Belt Aviation owner stays busy,” Feb. 1):
Bill’s son, Wade, is also a pilot and works at Cotton Belt.
Greenwood does have air service. Just call the Hendersons.

Police arrests
Regarding the comment in “My Two Cents” by Be Fair (Feb. 3):
How do you know the Greenwood police are only on the south side of town arresting? You sound like you are or may know some of these offenders.
