Police response
As a co-worker and I were sitting in my office on Tuesday, March 29, I noticed two teenage boys attempting to break into an apartment.
My co-worker called the cops as I went to the complex office to inform them of the situation. The cops showed up about 10 minutes later.
We had a video of the two delinquents trying to get the window up they had already broken. When the cops were told we had a video, they just said OK, and never asked to see it. They talked to the two and sent the two delinquents on their way.
This is the reason Greenwood is like it is. Slap them on the hand and turn them loose. These kids may have been 14, at the most.
How are you supposed to stop crime when you just slap them on the wrist and send them on their way? What if they got in and the renters walked in and were hurt?

Too much Trump
Leaders from around the world met last week with President Obama to discuss the reduction of nuclear weapons.
Every news outlet I watched on this same day opened its show with, you guessed it, Donald Trump.
And we wonder what’s wrong with our country.

Shun Pearson
Regarding the article “Pearson known for youth work” (March 28):
Keep up the good work, Shun Pearson. You are greatly appreciated.
