Life jackets
Regarding the editorial “Wear a life jacket” (June 20):
I am a very good swimmer. I simply refuse to wear a life jacket in my boat just because I might drown.
Big Brother, please get off my back. I also refuse to wear a helmet on a bike. The safety Nazis have gotten way out of hand.
Let me live my life. If I choose to wear a jacket or not, that is my decision.

Abandoned puppy
Regarding the letter to the editor by Nancy Gaugh (“Abandoning puppy was evil thing to do,” June 12):
I just hope that puppy found a forever home.
But to those people that put him out, karma will be by to see you.
