Carroll lawsuit
Regarding the article “‘Lawsuit full of lies,’ Carroll Co. sheriff says” (Jan. 4):
Sue-eeeee! 8 million dollars ain’t no chicken feed! No better than these guys can shoot, I might even let them take a pop or two at me for a portion of that. I don't think I would take a chance on eight shots, though. They might get lucky.
And you didn't really think Sheriff Jerry Carver was going to admit to any wrongdoing by his deputies, did you?
The Board of Supervisors of Carroll County may be thinking differently, though. I read in a related article concerning their meeting Tuesday that the supervisors discussed insurance coverage for the two lawsuits, because currently Carroll County only has $1 million in coverage per lawsuit with a $25,000 deductible.
Why would the supervisors be so concerned if the deputies are as innocent as Carver says? Hmmmm. Puzzles me.
