Sunday DUI blitz
Regarding the article, “Police call DUI blitz for Super Sunday” (Feb. 1):
Beware, motorists! Barney Fife will be on the prowl Sunday afternoon and evening.
He may pull you over if he suspects you’ve been drinking.
If he discovers you haven’t consumed alcohol, he may decide you are too close to the car ahead of you at the stop sign. Anything to justify pulling you over.
All the training in the world won’t do you any good if you don’t use some common sense along with it. Perhaps this community was better off with the previous DUI officer.
If a Barney Fife is the best thing our Police Department has to offer, we are all in big trouble.
