‘Win-loss’ game
In regard to the “win-loss” game between Marshall Academy and Carroll Academy:
So much has been written about poor, mistreated Carroll Academy. It’s just a game, people. Get over it. You lost.
Some of the Carroll supporters talk about “unsportsmanlike conduct.” Headmaster Steve Flemming and coach Neil Turner, take a good look at your parents and supporters who trashed Marshall’s parking lot after their tailgating party and the visitors’ section after the game. This is the real unsportsmanlike conduct that should be talked about. What adult damaged a Marshall student’s vehicle? Who is calling the kettle black?
This is the real problem. It’s is not the kids playing or even the officials doing their job. It is a game. Someone wins and someone loses.

Greenwood Utilities
Regarding the article “Council picks Gary for utilities commission” (Nov. 16):
Greenwood Utilities has been a source of controversy in recent years. That’s due in part to a switch to a team-management structure in March 2010. Instead of one top executive, the utility is run by six “vice presidents.” That is too funny.
Fred Clark
Regarding the article “Commish often delinquent on bills” (Nov. 17):
It’s sad a man of this status is not paying his utilities on time.
I think the mayor did the right thing in replacing Fred Clark on the Greenwood Utilities board. You need someone who will lead and set examples as well as be responsible.

Way to go, Mayor Carolyn McAdams. You are taking charge, and that is what Greenwood needs.
