City school district
I agree with the writer in “My Two Cents” Tuesday that the Greenwood School Board and administration are over their heads in the running of the city school district.
It is always someone else’s fault when things go wrong, mainly Drs. Margie Pulley and Jennifer Wilson. Cry “wolf” long enough, which they have done, and no one listens, much less believes you.
When a new business manager was hired, all that the board and administration had to do was call the previous manager, Deirdre Mayes, offer to pay her, and I feel sure that she would have helped in the transition to a new manager. Guess that was too much like right since Mrs. Mayes is another connection to Drs. Pulley and Wilson that the board and administration wanted to erase.
Drs. Pulley and Wilson have been gone for two years and one, respectively. Get over it!

Regarding the article “School board wants answers on misused federal money” (June 6):
The allocation of money would be fishy, but remember this is the Greenwood School Board, the same board that removed Jennifer Wilson in the midst of one of the biggest curriculum changes in America's history. You know, Jennifer Wilson, the Ph.D. who trained many of the principals across Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas in how to administer the upcoming changing curriculum. Jennifer Wilson, hand-selected by Margie Pulley and supported by the community. The one replaced by the motivational speaker who turned down the grants Dr. Wilson and the school district won. We hired a smooth talker, not a leader.

Carroll schools
Carroll County schools are long overdue for a tax increase. Not to mention the fact that they have a former educator and coach of the district on the school board who knows firsthand the hardships the district has faced over the years. primarily due to an incompetent school board. He should be more vocal and support the board members who are fighting for Carroll County’s children.
I am a huge fan of Superintendent Billy Joe Ferguson. People really do not know all the things he does for the children of Carroll County.
