Dak Prescott
Regarding the editorial “Good for Dak” (Jan. 18):
I really do not understand a whole lot about football. I do have a few favorites at the high school, college and pro levels whom I like to follow.
What gets me is that a lot of the standouts that have been recruited to play at the college level “go for the gold,” shall we say, once they let their 15 minutes of fame go to their heads. It’s not always for the better. Johnny Football has been the poster child.
Good for you, Dak Prescott, for honoring your commitments. All the best in your career.

Mary Brown hearing
Regarding the comment in “My Two Cents” (Jan. 14) about Mary Brown’s hearing:
I don’t understand some of the line of questioning in the hearing.
I don’t see how questions about the Mississippi Department of Education audit, situations in other school districts, etc. are relevant to the purpose of this hearing.
