Powell hearing
Regarding the article “Official: District leaders wanted GHS principal out” (April 10):
Someone please tell me what I am missing. This “hearing” is nothing more than a dog-and-pony show. The Greenwood High School record speaks for itself, and nothing that attorney Preston Rideout can produce will change that.
Percy Powell and others were hired to do a job, and it is obvious that they have been in “way over their heads.”

Regarding the passing of Mrs. Dorothy McMorris:
As a former student of R.B Schlater School in Morgan City, I thank her for a job well done.
Her attitude was the same wherever you may have run across her, always with a wonderful smile on her face.
Again, hats off to her!
