Coronavirus op-ed
Regarding Kelley Williams’ column (“Chicken Little wrong again,” April 3):
Give Kelley Williams credit for one thing. He at least makes it clear from all his hedging and weasel words that he really doesn't know what he's talking about.
I would rather go with the best current scientific and medical knowledge than on what Mr. Williams “suspects” or what he claims “seems to be” the case.
Add to that his sweeping statements based on what happened in the case of one cruise ship where the passengers were largely confined to quarters. And for him to be echoing our president in hawking an unproven drug treatment that “may” protect doctors and others is also inexcusable.
I’m all for freedom of speech and the airing of a wide range of opinions, but this column really had no place appearing in what should be a fact-based newspaper.

Oh, Commonwealth, where do you find these troglodytes?
Or are you letting them be heard just as the pandemic hits crisis stage so everyone can see what fools they are?
That would be too clever by half.
