Speed freaks
Attention, all speed freaks (commuters, delivery trucks, heavy equipment, motorcycles, etc.):
The speed limit on Weightman and Hemingway Streets is 25 miles per hour, not 40-plus. Visible speed limit signs are posted, but only a few obey the law.
There are people walking and children on bikes. Slow those speed mobiles down. This is a residential area, not a speedway as most think.
It is time for the Greenwood City Council and police to give this horrendous problem their attention and eliminate it with some stop signs, speed bumps or citations. Greenwood can certainly use the revenue.
