Pulley’s raise
There was an article about Greenwood School Superintendent Margie Pulley receiving a $6,000 raise in the June 14 issue of the Commonwealth.
Honestly, I feel it is unfair to her employees. Some of there are making around $15,000 a year and received only a 40-cent raise.
If Dr. Pulley received this large amount in her raise, her employees should receive more also. If the school district can’t give their employees a better raise, Mrs. Pulley should not be able to get hers.
The other problem that I am having is that the school district says it is unable to supply its students with what they need to learn because of budget cuts. If that is so, the district should take the $6,000 and put it back into the schools.
I remember when I was in school. My parents didn’t have to buy typing paper, floppy discs, etc. The school district supplied these to the students.

I cannot understand why no one has used the word “narcissist,” among other names, about Anthony Weiner. He obviously has issues.
It could be he has hidden this behavior for many years. How sad. I can’t imagine him as a father.
I wonder if his name may have gone to his head. I don’t think this disease can be fixed.

Regarding the article “Shots fired into senator’s home” (June 17):
This is awful! It is sad when a family's home is shot at as they sleep. No one was hurt, and that is only by grace.
