Dr. Arnold Smith is locked up and losing his patients for this nonsense. What connection did he have with these young men? None!
Lee Abraham is an attorney. Why would Dr. Smith hold a grudge against an attorney about a divorce that happened in the 1990s and he has remarried since then? This man has clearly moved on from that. How do you think his wife feels about that?

Regarding the article “Shooting suspect on house arrest” (May 10):
Well, if this don’t just take the cake.
Derrick Lacy, who went to Lee Abraham’s office with a gun, is out on house arrest, and Dr. Arnold Smith can’t even get to post bond. Did Lacy even have to post bond? I bet he did not.
This town is the pits. If you go against one of the clique, then you can just hang it up.

Now let me get this straight.
Dr. Arnold Smith did not show up at Lee Abraham’s office with a gun, yet he is denied bond and is in jail.
Derrick Lacy and Keaira Byrd show up with a gun with intentions to kill Mr. Abraham, and Lacy gets house arrest in the comfort of his home.
I guess “err body” might be scared that the protesters will take to the streets again, so therefore he does not go to jail.

Great idea to get a special prosecutor with no ties to Greenwood or the current officeholders in the state Attorney General’s Office.
