Jelani Barr
Regarding the editorial “Water recklessness” (Jun. 1):
Jelani Barr is nothing more than a wannabe politician, and like other wannabe politicians, he stoops to making up news when he’s been out of the spotlight for too long.
In this way, Barr and Donald Trump have more in common than people might think, although Trump has managed to win more than one election, while Barr has failed to win any of the election contests he’s thrown his name into.
From his run for Greenwood mayor to his run for Mississippi lieutenant governor, Barr has proven that the only thing he is successful at is losing elections. With a record like his, why would anyone take him seriously anymore?

This is the same fella that refused to exit his car after being stopped by the Mississippi Highway Patrol because he was scared for safety. Can you say, “Drama queen”?

Judging history
My history professor said that to judge one historic era by the standards of a later one is unprofessional, irrelevant, mindless and stupid.
People are doing this all over the place.
What will they say about us 100 years from now?

‘7th Heaven’
I would like to know why “7th Heaven” is still aired on cable? The star of that show has confessed to having sex with minors.

Regarding the article “Council gives go-ahead to Fulton Street project” (June 1):
