Larry ‘Kite’ Johnson
Regarding the letter to the editor by Anglean Wardell (“Something fishy about case against Johnson,” June 25):
Thank you, Mrs. Wardell, for expressing what I suspect many of us have been wondering about. Either the tale has gotten mixed up in the telling, or something really is fishy. Hopefully, Larry Johnson has help to get to the bottom of this.
Having worked many years for public schools in my younger days, I know how rumors and half-truths can grow to massive size.

Regarding the article “Cochran joins call to change state flag” (June 25):
All right, let’s change the Confederate flag. After that, we can also get rid of Old Glory.
Might as well rename our country while we’re at it. Let’s ditch that outdated Constitution, too.
Will all the minorities be happy then? I doubt it.

Regarding Sen. Lydia Chassaniol’s letter to the editor (“Removing flag won’t solve anything,” June 25):
Removing that part of the flag may not solve the problem, but it is a good start.
