Editor, Commonwealth:
The Path2Purity (P2P) Workshop held on Feb. 28 on the campus of Mississippi Valley State University and co-sponsored by the Department of Social Work at MVSU was a huge success. Over 100 attendants participated in the activities of the workshop and learned lifestyle skills in preparation for womanhood.
This endeavor was initiated by the founder and organizer, Dr. Jennifer Jordan, a native of Natchez and daughter-in-law of Sen. David L. Jordan.
Special thanks to the participants of the workshop and the following churches and organizations for their support of this project: New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, McKinney Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Providence Missionary Baptist Church, New Green Grove Church of Faith, Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Harvest Worship Center, the Department of Social Work at MVSU and the Greenwood Voters’ League.
All attendees of the P2P Workshop can share pictures taken during the program by sending to jenn.jordan24-@yahoo.com.
