Editor, Commonwealth:
I think there are some things that Greenwood needs.
I think it needs more businesses and bigger companies. This is because there is not much to choose from. For shopping, there is a Walmart and not much more. For food, there are the basic fast-food restaurants — McDonald’s, Wendy’s, etc. There isn’t a skate park either. That would be good to have. We need a movie theater also, instead of driving for an hour and a half to get to one.
It all starts with education. With better education, there are better workers. With better workers, better companies come here, and there are better jobs. With better jobs, there are better salaries. With better salaries, there is more spending. With more spending, the more money businesses get, and with businesses getting more money, more new ones will come.
This cycle continues on and on. Then our town could have enough money for all these things.
