I want to thank Kathryn Eastburn for her article “95-year-old found fountain of youth” (April 24) about Wilton Sanders, a truly remarkable individual whom I am blessed and privileged to call my friend.
His brother, Ernest Sanders, who recently passed away at the age of 92, was much like Wilton — youthful, intellectually curious, and full of the joy and wonder of living.
Ms. Eastburn’s profile of Wilton Sanders captures his wit, charm, brilliance and love of humanity. She closes with a quote from Wilton that sums up his philosophy of life: “The fountain of youth is the mind, talent and creativity you bring to your life and to those you love.” What a man! What a role model!
