President Trump is missing the point when he claims he had an absolute right to share intelligence information with Russian visitors to the Oval Office.
Of course he had that right. He is the president of the United States. ...
The question is why Trump even would think about giving the Russians any information about ISIS, the Middle East or anything. Why would he give them anything except maybe a nice compliment about the way they invaded part of the Ukraine three years ago?
The Russians, after three decades away, are once again our adversaries. They want more influence in the world at American expense. It defies understanding how Trump is so confident that Russia would help the United States stamp out ISIS without making sure that Moscow gets the better end of any results. ...
The Trump presidency was supposed to be about jobs, tax reform, immigration reform and draining the swamp. If he would just pipe down, maybe he could get to some of that.
