President Obama has long boasted that his administration is the most transparent in the history of this country.
That assertion is a laughable lie.
According to an Associated Press analysis, the Obama administration has set records for coming up empty on searches for requested records or providing censured ones.
The administration’s duplicity has been exposed when battles for records have gone to court. In one notable case, the State Department claimed it couldn’t find a single email that a former aide to Hillary Clinton had sent to journalists. After a lawsuit was filed, the agency turned up 90,000 documents.
It’s obvious what’s happening. The Obama administration is either not looking very hard or intentionally breaking the law by withholding public documents until its hand is called.
