Services for Calvin Jones of Loganville, Georgia, formerly of Greenwood, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Jones, 66, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, in Loganville.
He was a veterans’ benefit specialist.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ware, 77, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
She was a retired dietitian’s aide who had worked at Golden Age nursing home.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
