CLEVELAND, Miss. — Aline Mann-Fowler, 92, of Merigold passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, at Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Merigold Cemetery. Her grandson Michael Doyle will officiate at the services.
Aline was born on July 13, 1926, to William and Mattie (Hoskins) Minter in Vine Grove, Kentucky. She married Leroy Mann. They lived in Arkansas and Kentucky for many years until moving to Mississippi in the 1950s. Aline was a homemaker for her eight children. In later years, she worked at Baxter Laboratories and Irvin Industries. She was of the Baptist faith. Aline loved embroidery, making quilts, reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother; husband Leroy Mann; two sons, Carl and Galen Mann; two brothers, Burnard and Wain C. Minter; and one grandson, Gerald Mann.
She is survived by seven children, Roy Lee (Ruth) Mann of Greenwood, Jean Doyle of McComb, Twyla (Bill) Hunter of Cleveland, Nora (Ricky) Cross of Merigold, Libby (Larry) Richardson of Concord, North Carolina, Laqueita (Frank) Adkins of Merigold and Terry (Debby) Mann of Iowa, Louisiana; 21 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 40 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Larry E. Richardson, Bobby Richardson, Shane Richardson, David Herrin, Jason Williams and Galen Williams.
