The Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District board on Tuesday approved a salary schedule that sets pay rates for administrators at the school level for the 2019-20 school year.
The schedule is separated into categories that allow for salary increases for people with advanced degrees or as they gain experience.
The lowest level of the scale is for administrators with master’s degrees, then increases for those with master’s degrees and 25 years’ experience. Another level is set for people with specialist’s degrees and those with specialist’so degrees and 25 years’ experience.
The top category is for people with doctorates and those with doctorates with 25 years’ experience.
Pay for assistant principals in elementary schools ranges from $67,980 to $73,340. Principals at the same schools will be paid between $80,280 and $84,640.
Assistant principals at district middle schools will earn between $76,220 and $81,580. Middle school principals will be paid between $85,430 and $89,790.
At the high school level, assistant principals will be paid between $77,250 and $82,610, while principals will earn between $91,000 and $95,360.
The vocational education chief, the alternative school chief and the juvenile detention center administrator will be paid between $80,280 and $84,640.
